| Historic Zephyr Cove Resort has been welcoming visitors to the shores of Lake Tahoe for decades. The charming lakeside cabins, tucked among the tall pine trees, have been vacation destinations since the early 1900s. Now painstakingly restored to retain as much of the original architecture and character as possible, the cabins are comfortably and beautifully equipped with modern conveniences. Over the decades, this location remains one of Lake Tahoe’s finest, with views of the Lake and easy, walkable access to the beach, restaurant and activities. |

Our guests find the setting and simplicity of Zephyr Cove to be a refreshing alternative to typical accommodations in more densely developed areas of Lake Tahoe. Here at Zephyr Cove amid the pines, you can hear the birdsong and sense Lake Tahoe’s traditions. Long before Zephyr Cove Resort was established, the Washo Indians had been gathering on the shores of Lake Tahoe, which they considered to be a spiritual site. American explorers Kit Carson and John Fremont first discovered the area in 1844. The 1860's were an exciting era when silver was discovered in the Sierra Nevada and prospectors flocked here to seek their fortunes. |
